Creede Duck Derby - June 13, 2026 1:00PM

The Creede Duck Derby Committee will establish the official race course along Willow Creek. Ducks will be launched at approximately 1:00 PM from the bridge across from Town Hall. If necessary due to weather or other conditions, the race may be delayed, postponed, or relocated at the discretion of the Committee.

All ducks entered in the race are provided by the Creede Duck Derby Committee and remain the property of the event organizers.

Once launched, no participant or spectator may touch, remove, or interfere with any duck during the race. Only authorized race officials may handle ducks if needed.

The racecourse will officially close 1 minutes after the first duck crosses the finish line. Ducks finishing after that time will not be eligible for prizes.

If conditions prevent the use of Willow Creek, the Creede Duck Derby Committee reserves the right to modify or relocate the race using alternative methods.

Each duck will be assigned a number corresponding to a purchased entry. Prize winners will be determined by the first ducks to cross the finish line.

Participants must be 18 years or older to claim prizes.

Ducks may be purchased online in advance or at the Duck Tent located in Basham Park on the day of the event, while supplies last.
Participants may purchase unlimited ducks unless otherwise stated by the Committee.

Ticket (duck) sales will close at 12:45pm (15 minutes) prior to the race start time on event day.

Winners do not need to be present to win. Winning numbers will be announced following the race. Prize winners must claim their prize within three days.

Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes or fees associated with prizes.

By participating, entrants agree that their name and likeness may be used for promotional purposes related to the Creede Duck Derby without additional compensation.

By entering, participants release the Creede Duck Derby Committee, sponsors (including Teale Enterprises, LLC DBA Cabin + Gift), and all affiliated parties from any liability related to the event or prizes.

Chances of winning depend on the total number of ducks entered in the race.

The Creede Duck Derby Committee reserves the right to make all final decisions regarding race operations and interpretation of these rules.

Any rule found to conflict with applicable laws or regulations shall be deemed void, with the remaining rules continuing in full effect.

All proceeds from the Creede Duck Derby will go toward establishing a future 501(c) Creede Kids Foundation, with a vision of creating a Children’s Museum for the Creede community.

All duck adoptions are final.
No refunds will be issued once a purchase is completed.
